Break Down and Disposition of the 3rd Sa’cean Assault Fleet

Ethereal Majesty

Please see below the report I have prepared detailing the actions of the 3rd Sa’cean Assault Fleet in the Daygoba Sector. I have attempted to detail the current operational status of all ships in system, recent engagement patterns and future plans to be enacted by the Cold Fleet in line with the current “Third Sphere” expansion into the space currently occupied by the Imperium of Man.

Fleet Disposition

Currently the fleet disposition of the Cold Fleet in the Daygoba Sector is as follows
• Custodian Class Carrier “Hammer of the Righteous” (currently designated as fleet flagship)
• Custodian Class Carrier “Anvil of Justice”
• Protector Class Warships: “Word of Law”, “Spirit of Retribution”, “Divine Wisdom”, “Bright Sword”, “Staff of Judgement”, “Shield of the Spirit”
• Attached Warden Class Carrier Escorts “Forge Squadron

NOTE: The Custodian Class Carrier “Silent Warrior” is currently in transit to the Daygoba Sector

Engagement Mandate

The mandate of the “Cold Fleet” so far has been regarded as two fold
1) Defend the recently conquered colony worlds within the Daygoba sector from recapture by Imperial or other as yet undisclosed threats in sector
2) Aggressively expand into poorly defended systems bordering our own

Action Report: Cold Fleet Engaged in Mandate 1 activity against A Necrontyr Fleet during the 14th roataa of Fio

Forge Squadron division 2 was engaged with picket with the Anvil of Justice on the outskirts of the Mi’ratha system.

Forge picked up an unknown signal in one of the many asteroid belts present within the system out reaches, it resolved itself as a large Necrontyr raider.Immediately moving to evade Forge sent a flash fleet message signalling the incoming threat.

The Anvil was the first to respond and in coordination with Forge was able to suppress the enemy ship, (it should be noted that the Anvil’s railgun batteries averaged extraordinary levels of accuracy during this engagement)

Necron reinforcements resolved themselves and targeted forge and the Anvil in turn....annihilating the former and crippling the latter (Anvil will require extensive repairs following the engagement).

Protector squadrons 1 and 2 were able to successfully distract the Necron main body to allow the Anvil to use the cover of local celestial phenomenon to disengage the battle.

Enemy ships suffering heavily under consistent ordnance attack abandoned their assault.

Following the engagement Kor’O Cold Wind requested for Reinforcements to increase effectives in carrying out Mandate 2 activity and to keep up consistent patrol work (filling the gap left by the temporary damage done to the Anvil.

Future Operations

Recent scout reports from Air Caste command in sector has revealed that one of the neighbouring system is held by the Imperial techno magi, probes shall be launched to be investigate the possibility of a full scale system wise conquest.

A Cold Wind Blows

Right Folks lets get to the business end of this little endeavour...the Gaming!!!!

The first project I have going is my new Tau fleet....Well they're not quite Tau, let me explain if I may

I have been a conspicuous fan of the little grey ones in Warhammer 40k since they were first released, so when I heard there would be rules for them in Battlefleet Gothic I must say I was more then a little excited.

So the rules came out....and they were well fine...But the models, lets just say I wasn't a huge fan of the look that Games Workshop had gone for. So the years passed and my copy of armada sat patiently on the shelves waiting for a time when I might actually use the little greys in space. The day came very close to arriving with the release of the Forge World Tau fleet for the Taros campaign book. Not only were the models wonderful, I actually preferred the rules set up that had been written.

Alas, with Forge World models come Forge World prices...So I was once again back to the drawing board....that is until I came across the good people at Ground Zero Games, who make lovely ships for a knock down price...One of their Mega fleet Packs later and I was in business.

So I've waited patiently and the time has now come to claim the stars for the greater good with my local games club the Dublin Games Guild running a BFG campaign. So over the coming months I'll be updating how my Admiral Cold Wind and his mongrel fleet progress in claiming the stars
